THE ARTIFICIAL ORCHID – CATTLEYA 加德利亚兰

This orchid was made of Thai Flower Clay by me in 2008 and my friend took it to Japan to give to a Japanese Lady as a gift.
                            
                                                    

这个是我在2008年使用泰国粘土制作的加德利亚兰(胡姬花), 朋友已经带 去 日本送給她的日本朋友了.                                   

GRAPE TISSUE PAPER BOX - 葡萄纸巾盒

Many friends like this Tissue Paper Box, I don’t know  the reason why ………….                     

许多朋友都喜欢这个葡萄纸巾盒，我也说不出理由来。。。。。。。。。

 

                                    

This tissue paper box was made of ply-wood and covered up with Taiwanese Paper Clay………….                  

 

这个葡萄纸巾盒是用三夹板做好再埔上台湾纸粘的.

KUALA LUMPUR - 吉隆坡

On 08/01/2010, I was called to our training centre in K.L. to attend a computer wed-top system course for 2 days.

With this opportunity, I visited the Petaling Street ( The China Town) and the Central Market in K.L.,  

these are the 2 places that I visited each time when I came down here.

一月八日, 我去了吉隆坡的总行两天参加一项训练课程.

乘此机会, 我去吉隆坡的茨厂街(唐人街)和中央艺术坊. 这两个地点都是我长去的地方每当我下来吉隆坡.

The China Town ( Petaling Street ) -

Petaling Street or known as Chinatown among tourists and it is located in the centre of Kuala Lumpur.

The unique features of Petaling Street (Chinatown) is the whole street was covered up by the transparent roofing. 

Petaling Street is a bustling market serving as a bargain hunter's paradise and one of the premier shopping areas in the city, which is distinct in oriental atmosphere.

茨厂街是吉隆坡的唐人街，是个相当富有华人生活区的地方.

在这里拥有华人商店, 书局, 餐馆或小贩摊子, 货品种类由布料至中草药都有，真正琳琅满目 ,而且充满生机勃勃的气息.

在这里, 你也可以看到许多礕眼蓝睛的外国游客在购物.

                      

The Chinese New Year is just round the corner.

In China town, we could see the “Red” colour all over the places and start feeling the mood of the Chinese New Year.

我们可以感觉到各处都是红红的, 知道华人新年快到了.

 

                       

 

                          

   

Valentine - 情人节

Valentine day for 2010 is fall on the 1st day of the Chinese New Year  

Hawkers in China Town started selling Valentine’s items  

 

今年的情人节是在华人新年的第一天. 茨厂街(唐人街)已经开始摆卖情人节的东西里.

 

THE CENTRAL MARKET - 中央艺术坊

Located in the heart of the city, a few minutes away from Petaling Street.

Central Market which was built in 1888 was originally a wet market. It has since being classified as a Heritage Site by the Malaysian Heritage Society.

It is now a landmark for Malaysian Culture and Heritage displaying a wide variety of Malaysian Arts and Handicrafts, Batik, Antiques and attractive souvenirs.

 

据说这幢历史性的建筑物, 在1888年时,原本是繁忙的湿菜市场，现在已改为是许多特色商店的集中地，专售卖各种令游客爱不释手的物品.

 

在这里足以让我消磨一个下午.

Inside the building there are two levels. On both levels are shops for souvenirs and handicrafts

As you look from the 1st floor, you can have a beautiful view of what's happening below you.

There's a lot of lovely food at the hawkers centre on the 2nd floor.

TAIWANESE ORGANIC FARM - 台湾花卉休闲农场

           

           

Somewhere near my house, there is a Taiwanese Organic Farm, they planted many types of flowers, vegetables, herbs & etc., the place is open for public from morning till the evening, beside visiting, you can buy the flowers and vegetables from them or even eat in their restaurant. 
January 12, 2010, I visited the farm and took some photographs as I think that it’s a good place for us to visit and show support to save the nature and the globe. I have met one the Taiwanese lady who is one of care taker there, she is friendly and helpful, she explained to me some of usage of the plants and vege., but the problem was I couldn’t remember all, I told myself I would go and visit them again.
This is the 2nd time, I visited them and the 1st time was on September 2009. Frankly speaking, I am not familiar with them and don’t have much knowledge on the plants & herbs, in future, may be if I alway go.

             

          

在我家附近,  有一个台湾花卉休闲农场, 一月十二号, 我去了造访他们, 这是第二次去, 第一去的时候是在去年九月,有朋友从槟城来,我带了他们去参观.

老实说,我很喜爱那个地方, 因为它是有机农场, 建康又环保,而且又是个花卉园, 环境很不错.

                       
这次去,刚好遇到谢大姐(台湾人),她是这儿的负责人之一, 她很友善和用心的跟我讲解一些关于种植事务, 而且让我在园里自由拍照, 很谢谢她.

这是个有机农场, 是个好地方, 乘着假日, 大家不妨带着家人一起来做一日逰. 地点是Kulim Road, Macang Bubuk, Bukit Mertajam, Penang.

  No insecticides used, you can see the Bug on the plant.  没用杀虫剂,我们可以看到有臭虫停留在植物上.

I believe this is a good place, anybody can just drop in and spend their time to show support.  Organic Farming is to grow plants without any harmful industrial chemicals or industrial insecticides and is good for us.
The Taiwanese Organic Farm is located at Kulim Road, Macang Bubuk, Bukit Mertajam, Penang.
